India U23 will begin their preparation for AFC U23 Championship 2018 qualifiers today in Singapore. The team which is coached by Senior team coach Stephen Constantine will play their first friendly of the two-match series against Singapore today. 
Most of the players from India U23 yet to taste professional and International football. Some of the boys have been picked up from the Santosh Trophy tournament. It will be a huge ask for the boys when they take on Singapore U23. 
Only Three players from the team have a senior team cap. Daniel Lalhlimpuia is one of the exciting Talent which we can look forward, the forward made his debut against Peurto Rico last year. The Youngest Indian Goalscorer Lallianzuala Chhangte will be eager to show why he needs to be back in the Indian senior team setup. The Winger after scoring that famous goal has remained

absent from Indian senior team setup.

On the other hand, it will be a great opportunity for the players to show their mettle and impress senior team coach. This will be a great addition for those players who will be available in the draft system of Indian Super League. 
India U23 AFC qualifiers begin against Syrians in Doha on July 19, The other teams in the groups are Qatar and Turkmenistan. The groups look tough, it will be interesting to see how next generation of footballers perform and if they qualify for the finals.
