FIFA World Cup 2018 stage is set and we now have our groups ready. The teams now know their opponents and we can’t wait for the biggest football extravaganza on the planet. The Tournament in Russia will see 32 teams across the globe fight it out for the most prestigious trophy of the world.

Russia, Saudi Arabia Egypt, Uruguay
Hosts Russia face Asian giants Saudi Arabia to kick off the mega event. It’s a pretty evenly matched group, with Uruguay favorites to qualify. The other three will have to sweat it out to make it to the knockouts.
Egypt and Saudi Arabia making their return to the World Cup thanks to some awesome football in qualifiers will be keenly watched. The two teams will be in the world cup after a gap of a long time. This is a big stage and making it to the next stage of the tournament will be a far-fetched dream. Egypt could be the dark horses of this group.
Favourite To Win the Group – URUGUAY
Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Iran
There is no clear group of Death, but this seems to be tough of all the groups. Portugal will face Spain in the group opener and are favorites to qualify. The mouth-watering clash will most likely decide the group B winner.
Morocco making their return to the World cup and they will be happy to part of the tournament. Progressing to the next round looks a bit dicey at the moment. The squad is young and inexperienced for the big event. Iran success world cup appearance, the Asian giants is one of the most improved teams in last few years but making it to the knockout looks difficult.
Favourite To Win the Group – PORTUGAL
France, Peru, Denmark, Australia
France is clear favorites, and the other three are evenly matched to set up a beautiful fight to make it to the knockouts. France will find themselves lucky to play these three in the group stage.
Who will join them in the knockout round from this group is difficult to predict.

Argentina, Iceland, Croatia, Nigeria
Debutants Iceland has a tough opening fixture against Argentina, but the south Americans aren’t in the best of form and Iceland will hope to take full advantage.
Nigeria will be one of the teams that will look to cause upsets in Russia. Croatia, not to forget are the dark horses and have enough quality to even surprise everyone by winning the world cup, who knows?
This group will throw a lot of surprises, the group of death?
Favourite To Win the Group – ARGENTINA
Brazil, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Serbia
Heavyweights Brazil will face Serbia with the Semi-Final defeat fresh in their minds. Serbia is making a comeback for the first time since 2010, and a fired up to make an impact this time around after failing to go past the group stage in recent years.
Brazil is the clear favorites to top the group, while Costa Rica too will give a tough fight to improve on their quarter-final finish in Brazil. Switches will be playing their fourth consecutive world cup, but have not gone past the group stage, and will be looking to change that in Russia.

Germany, Mexico, Sweden, Korea
Defending champions face a stern Mexican test to defend their title. The other two contenders will find it hard to beat the heavyweights, but the world cup is known for upsets.
Sweden themselves knocked out giants Italy who missed our for the first time in 60 years and will hope to make their presence count. 2002 Semi-Finalists South have been regulars at the world cup, and qualifying for the knockouts will be their immediate aim.

Belgium, Panama, Tunisia, England
Now, this is a unique group. Belgium and England and known for their talents, but fail to achieve anything on the world stage. Now both are in the same group and are clear favorites. Tunisia, and debutantes Panama will face a mountain to climb in Russia.
England Junior teams have been excellent winning U-20 and U-17 World Cups, can England sprung a surprise and win the Senior World Cup?
Favourite To Win the Group – ENGLAND
Poland, Senegal, Colombia, Japan
This is surely one of the toughest and the most interesting groups of all. Evenly matched, it is difficult to predict who will go through. Columbia is a big name, but Poland is a quiet threat.
Senegal is back at the world cup, and their talented European league based players can take them a long way. Japan has made huge strides in world football, and they will be looking to improve further after a disappointing campaign in Brazil.
