The Black Starlets are making their return in FIFA U-17 World Cup after a gap of 10 years.

The Last time Ghana played in the U-17 world cup in 2007 North Korea edition.

Past Performances

African nations always had better records in youth competitions and Ghana is not an exception. The Black Starlets have won the U-17 World Cup on twice occasions (1991 and 1995). They were runner up twice in (1992 and 1997), The last time Ghana played in 2007 they finished fourth place.

Ghanaians will look to reclaim their glory days in the Youth World Cup in India.

Road To U-17 World Cup

The Road to the come back in the U-17 world cup for the African nation was pretty easy. They topped their group in the African u-17 championship, defeated minnows Niger in the semi finals. They had to suffer defeat against Mali.

Ghan is grouped with host India in the Group A while other two teams in the Group are USA and Columbia.

Player To Watch Out

Ghanian coach Paa Kwesi have stuck to the same squad except for a couple of new addition in the provisional squads. Aminu Mohammed is the biggest new addition to the squad.

Taunted as the next Neymar,16-year-old wonder will be a delight to watch. His dribbling skills and scoring abilities have attracted the host of the European clubs.  Manchester City secured his services for 2million smashing the Ghana record. Aminu was not part of the U17 African cup and he will be eager to wear the Ghanian colors in the U-17 World Cup.

The Top scorer for the team in U-17 African nation Eric Ayah of Charity stars will be one to watch out. The Striker possesses pace and eye for the goal. His clean finishing will test keepers in the world cup.
