FIFA U-17 World Cup: India's Group A Teams Crash out of the World Cup While England Book Place in Semi

FIFA u-17 world cup is coming to the business end and we have our first two semi-finalists. Mali and England have knocked out India group A mates the USA and Ghana out of the world cup.

FIFA u-17 World Cup: Mali Blank Ghana

In all African clash, Mali defeated Ghana in Guwahati. The African U-17 Champions scored a goal in each half to register a win over Ghana. Hadji Drame (15th minute) and Djemoussa Traore (61st) strike was enough to knock out Ghanian U-17 out of the world cup.

The two times champions Ghana struggled throughout the match against last edition runner-up. Mali could have added more misery on Ghana if they were not wasteful in front of the goal.

There was a slight of hope for Ghanaians when Mohammed converted a penalty after Ibrahim was felled by Fode Konate. Ghana did try to put pressure on Mali defense in the last few minutes of the match but they unable to find the second goal.

Ghana played the last few minutes of the game with ten men after injury forced Gideon Mensah off the pitch.

FIFA u-17 World Cup: England showed their class against The USA.

In a jam-packed Fatorda stadium, England registered easy win over The USA to book a place in Semifinals. Liverpool starlet, Rhian Brewster hattrick was a major attraction of the match.

Apart from few nervous minutes, England was always in control of the match. The first half saw England scoring two goals with Brewster scoring his first two inside the first quarter of the match.

In the second half, The USA showed a little bit of urgency but 64th minutes goal by Morgan Gibbs-White faded any hope of coming back. The USA captain Josh Sergent reduced the margin in 72 minutes.

The USA ended the match and the tournament with 10 men when Sergio Desto got the marching orders in the added minute. Brewster restored the 3 goals lead when he converted Spot kick to complete his hattrick and the USA rout.
