English Premier League: Watford F.C. 2017/18 Preview
Watford football club barely survived last season in the premier league. They finished last year in 17th position which they would love to forget and start the season on a bright note. The management has signed Marco Silva as the new head coach of the club. 


Goalkeepers: Heurelho Gomes, Costel Pantilimon, Giendruis Arlauskis, Daniel Buchanan.

The Brazilian veteran keeper Heurelho Gomes will continue to protect Watford goal, he has been one of the veteran keepers in the premier league. The new signings Daniel Buchanan may play a part a bit in the later half of the season. The 23-year-old did not have much of experience and playing under Gomes will help him a lot. 

Defenders: Daryl Janmaat, Miguel Britos, Younous Kaboul, Sebastian Prodl, Adrian Mariappa, Craig Cathcart, Kiko Femenia, Jose Holebas, Brice Dja Djedje, Christian Kabasele, Tomie Hoben.

The defense is pretty much same as last season only the addition of Spaniard Kiko Femenia. He expected to slot in right back position where Watford found wanting last season. 
The French defender Younes Kaboul and Uruguayan Miguel Britos will continue to play in the heart of the defense, the two will look to avoid the mistake they did last season. 
Sebastian Prodl, Austrian international will be one to watch out for the defense. He has the quality to match some of the best in the business. 

Midfielder: Nordin Amramat, Tom Cleverly, Valon Behrami, Nathaniel Chalobah, Abdoulaye Docoure, Will Hughes, Ben Watson, Etienne Capoue, Roberto Pereyra. 

Marco Silva has signed three bright prospects in form of Tom Cleverly, Nathaniel Chalobah, and Will Hughes. All of them have the quality to step in the playing eleven and change the course of the game. 

Valon Behrami will lead the midfield along with Nordin Amramat, the two should look to bring all their experience and help youngster perform at their best. 

Forward: Troy Deeney, Issac Success, Jerome Sinclair, Mauro Zarate, Stefano Okaka.

Captain Troy Deeney will have his task cut out, last season Watford scored just 40 goals . their defense was good but the lack of goal was the problem. Deeny and Issac Success have to step up and start scoring the goals and don’t let the team down. 

Probable Starting XI: Gomes, Daryl, Miguel, Younous, Sebastian, Valon Behrami, Nordin Amramat, Success, Deeney. 

Manager Profile: Marco Silva

The Portuguese manager was impressive last season with Hull City, he did try to rejuvenate the team when he arrived late but failed to save them from relegation. Watford was quick to jump and sign the Portuguese manager. The gaffer will look to bring the style of play at Watford and hope he could bring smile smiles on Watford fans in his full season as manager in the premier league.

Player To Watch Out

Issach success is one of the brightest Nigerian talents, the striker was excellently for Nigerian junior teams and Granada. he hasn’t set premier league season on fire yet and he would love to stamp his authority on the premier league.
