Chennai looks to make most of Marcelinho Absense

Chennaiyin takes on FC Pune City at the Marina Arena tonight as both look to bounce back to winning ways after being held to draws in their respective games last time. Just 1 point separates the two at the second and third place, and both have played some good football in the season so far.

More importantly for Pune, their star striker Marcelinho will not feature after accumulating 4 bookings. The influential forward has found the net 5 times this season has assisted 2. But the positive thing for Pune is that Marcos Tebar and Adil Khan have also been among the goals.

For Chennaiyin, they will be glad to have Henrique Sereno back after serving his suspension. They will be wary of the lethal Pune attack and their tendency to concede late in the game that has cost them dearly this season. Jeje Lalpekhlua will be the man to watch out for FC Pune City. The striker was slow to get going in the season but has not looked back since getting into form

Overall, fans can expect a good game of football today after a drab 90 minutes yesterday in Guwahati. It will be a good attacking game and a goal fest can be expected as both teams lack compactness at the back.
